ok so im kinda new the GM v8 word, i am a tech at a local nissan dealership and i own a handfull of 240sx project cars. im coming on here to ask about a lo buck project that im attempting. i have a 2000 gmc 1500 5.3, my goal is to mate it to a t56 and shoe horn it into one of my 240s i know alot of people are using ls1 in them and i was wondering since i got the motor for free wat would be the issues wit putting a t56 behind it? is it possible? i will make my own mounts and use a gto front sump pan with little k member mods. will any ls_ cam go in to this 5.3 or is there big diffs? any input would be greatly appreciated as i am very knowledgeable in the auto world and ASE certified just want to ask some pros for some help
