Default Boosted LS1 240sx from Orlando,FL

Hello LS1tech,

My name is sam I own a 1997 240sx that was previously 2.4L turbo made 418whp on 15 psi (stock block and head). I have a very good friend that is into V8's he personally has some mighty fast V8's.

Before I decided to go fully built in my 4 banger, he just told look I have a LS1 sitting in my storage you can have it for free!!! lol I put all my fully built stuff as testing water and 85% of my parts were gone in 2 days.Ever since then Ive been on here for about 2 months just reading and learning new stuff. Ill have pics up.

I have currently:

Stock LS1 w/ 35,000 miles
317 heads w/ comp 918's
MLS HG
GTO Oil Pan
Truck Manifold
Stock Cam
Stock Intake Manifold
Lucas 1200cc Injectors
Aeromotive 340 Stealth Fuel Pump
Borh Warner S366 / T4 .93 A.R
HP Tuner
CX Front mount
50mm Wastegate
ARP Head Studs
Wiring Harness and Ecu

Parts I need to get:

JW TH400
B&M Pistol Grip Shifter
3k Converter
Q45 Rear end
8 Point Roll Cage
Oil, Tach, Speedo Guages
Radiator and Fans
BOV
and more but cant remember at the moment.

OO BTW your probably wondering why the huge injectors the car was on E85 with the 4 banger and it will be E85 with 8 Banger.

heres some pics:

gonna be a badass ride. from experience, dont use the 918's . if your going to go ahead and replace all the valvetrain i would upgrade springs just for piece of mind. although not 100% necessary, i would use double springs since you will be under boost. patriot gold .650 lift double springs or prc 320 .650 double springs. also consider doing an ls2 oil pump and ls2 timing set. i mean if your building a boosted car, why not take the precautions of adding all the higher end things? i would also recommend ls7 lifters and ls9 dampner while your at it.

good luck

the ls2 pump is just a better pump. if u have one that has miles on it, y not upgrade? its less than 100 bucks. i did it on my truck and never came close to loosing oil pressure. with boost, its always good to make sure u have the right fuel, spark, oil pressure, temp etc.. so there will not be any detonation. you dont HAVE to do it but ive worked on may trucks that just run better with better oil pumps and make sure the pick up tubes are doig their jobs with a good pump. just my .02 cents

definitely want to see where you put your turbos, i wanted to boost my LS14 but figured raising the compression and adding nitrous was easier, would love to see your car finished.
