Hey all, been creeping on this forum for a few months now trying to gather as much info as I can on lsx motors. I have a 2004 Mazda rx8 and for the time being its got the stock motor and trans. its done its job just fine as I learn to properly drive a car. (road racing, auto-x, and now drifting) Ive pretty much stuck to drifting for the past year as its just way too much fun. But the stock renisis motor is.... well gutless is a word that springs to mind lol. so its time to take its heart out and swap it in with a v8. I wont be starting my build for a good while as I am still trying to sorce a motor and trans (preferably from an 04+ GTO) I plan to build the car so its still got all the creature comforts, ac, heat, carpets, radio, etc, as I still enjoy driving it to and from work and to car shows and such. so no full track status for the 8, at least for now. alright enough talking heres some pics of the car.

should be a really fun car once its all said and done. I think a realistic goal is to have the swap done and on the road by summer of 2014. ( hopefully sooner than that tho)

hate on rotary lovers!
