I'm new to the forum and need some knowledge,
 

Hi I'm Kevin people call me Kevlar. I'm not sure if I post my questions here but if so here it is, if not just let me know. thanks in advance. I have a 94 Z-28 with the 5.7 LT1. The temp gauge gets to just under the red/overheat point and stays there. If I rev it, themp. goes down a little but then climbs back up. I was told it was the water pump, but I'm getting good heat which tells me that the water is be pushed through the heater hoses. any idea out there what I can do to fix this and/or how to determin if the gauge is incorrect.
