Newbie iat question
 

Hello, My name is Brandon. I am new to ls1tech so forgive me. I got a 2001 Trans Am WS6 automatic a little over a year ago. And I of course did all the easy free mods, slp lid, smooth bellow, ported stock throttlebody, hooker longtube 1-3/4" primary with magnaflow cat-back, trans go shift kit. I am going to get a frost tune in about another month. I noticed and never bothered to look into but the previous owner, I believe tried doing a iat sensor mod. The end of the sensor where it reads the air is completely broken off, and filled with epoxy stuff? I know a dumb question but I figured I would ask. I have however purchased a new one before I drive it in the spring.

My question I guess should be more clear, what the heck is reason he would have done that to the iat sensor. lol.

No idea really, but if you ask in the general forum maybe someone there will know.
