Welcome to the board and grats on the ride!

BTW if it's an A4 then be sure to get a torque converter and tranny cooler when cash allows. If it's a M6 then be sure to get 4.10 gears and a new shifter when cash allows.

Good luck on the new ride and don't let the mod bug bite (DOH! too late )

Welcome to the site

Glad to see another TA. Also, go tot he enthusiast side and vote for which LS1 you have becasue the TA percentage is dropping.

As to a Torque Convertor it will depend largley on who you choose to buy from (TCI, Yank, etc) and the Stall size (larger the more cost). IMO, I plan on a small 3000 Stall from TCI (around 500.00 and then Trans cooler for 50 to 100). Then install costs to have a shop do it.

Well, your definatley starting off good. Torque Converter... sound good. I've been planning on getting a torque converter for about a year now, but never have. I guess I should buy a lid first, or maybe some drag radials. LOL!! Well, welcome to LS1tech.

I would get a torque converter first. That will give you the most bang for your buck. I would recommend a Yank converter. They are a little more expensive but they are damn good converters. Very efficient. Good luck with your mods and welcome aboard.

Welcome! I'd love to opine on which mod I would do if I were you. Unfotunately I am sortof in the same boat as you. Headers or t/c?? I really think a set of QTPs' w/ thier QTEC would be great! Then again a little more "punch" would be too..........At any rate good luck, and happy reading/searching/modding. You're in the best place for all three!

Welcome aboard! IMO, I recommend getting a torque converter first. You will be amazed at how a t/c can really wake up the LS1/4L60E combination! The stall recommended would depend on your future horsepower plans. There are alot great converter manufacturers out on the market. Do a search and you'll find plenty of t/c information and advice. You have joined a great site!
