i just found this forum and it's great. i just bought a black 94 trans am for 4,200. its got 126,000 miles on it. it ran great when i got it but on my 6 hour ride home it had a rear main seal leak and now im rebuilding the engine. im putting a new stock crank, lt4 hotcam, roller rockers, better headers (dont know which exactly yet) and a rebuild kit with forged aluminum pistons. any objections to that? i dont really know much about the lt1 but ive rebuilt other engines. we took it out the top, without the transmisson...now thats got to come out to get it back in. anyway great forum sorry for the lengthy post.

Welcome! Congrats on the 'bird purchase, and sorry to hear about your mishap. No need to apologize for a long post.....look around here and you'll find a lot of really long (yet informative) posts.

Welcome aboard. Try the search button it helped me alot to find the info I was looking for. As for headers look into the pacesetters, great product for a good price.

Since you are rebuilding the motor why don't you throw in a ls1, and the you can the :secret2: lt1! ;)
