another Jeep guy here...
another Jeep guy here... I am new to this site. I am here because I plan on putting a LS1 into my 1986 Jeep CJ-7. I know that this is not a new conversion and plenty of people on this forum have done it, however it still is exciting to me. I hope to learn alot from this site (already have in fact) and hope to contribute anything I can. I will be posting pics of my Jeep after the first of sept as I am moving to a new house with a high ceiling two car garage!! I am also excited to have my first garage in which i plan on doing alot of projects....anyways just wanted to say whats up to y'all and a special whats up to my fellow Jeepers. thanks in advance for all of your help.

Are you just swapping for fun or are you building a rig? LS1 can make a ton of torque, great low end power for rocks.
I have owned this jeep since I was 15 (I am 25 now) and I have always wanted it to be a V8. I have done a lot of research and decided that a LS1 is the only way to go. I love to 4wheel and that is why I plan on using the NV4500 trans. (It has the granny 1st gear) I am going to build a full roll cage, spring it over(most likely) and run about 36's. So anyways the answer is yes I am doing this for fun and yes I am building a rig...if that makes any sense.
