Looking to enter the LS1 world soon Hello all. I am selling my current toy (93 Stealth R/T Twin Turbo) and looking to get an LS1, preferably a WS6, but may settle for a "regular" T/A. I've lurked 
around on this message board for a little while now, and it appears that there is a lot of great knowledge that is shared. Hopefully I'll be able to take advantage of it soon, but who knows how long it will take to sell my car.

Hopefully I'll be able to take advantage of it soon, but who knows how long it will take to sell my car. save yourself some money and get a regular TA....unless you mjust want the different wheels and hood of the Ram air...many people will try and sell you a ws6 as a "much faster" TA because it has ram air...
Good suggestion, thanks. I have already researched the differences between the models, and the one thing that I really want is the ram air hood, which is ironic because I'm usually primarily focused on performance. Several of the other WS6 items (better rims, exhaust, springs, shocks) would be nice, but I would probably end up replacing those parts with better aftermarket parts anyway. So, it would probably make the most sense to get a regular T/A and put a ram air hood on it, and then do the other mods with the leftover money that I saved compared to buying a WS6.
I know that a WS6 should be somewhat higher priced than a regular T/A, but it seems like they are going for several thousand dollars (~$4-5k) more, on average. It will probably come down to whatever I can find a good deal on, which will most likely be a regular T/A because I will have a hard time justifying that much of a higher cost for a WS6.

Well, I didn't sell my car yet, but I ran across a really good deal that I couldn't pass up, so I'm now the proud owner of a black 2000 WS6. Now I need to update my signature!
