I would just like to note that I made good on this. It's a shame negative feedback was posted as I had a lot going on at the time. For anyone worried, I will start giving out my cell number so I can be contacted via telephone or text message so I'm aware that negative feedback might be posted and I can see to it that I take care of things a little more timely. Unfortunately life can get in the way of LS1tech transactions sometimes.
Personally I never had a single issue with the converter in question. The part that bothers me about this transaction is that the buyer put the converter into a transmission... the transmission failed, and he blamed the converter. He then, prior to having the converter checked, put it into another transmission and claimed that it wasted a second transmission.
What proof is there that there wasn't a problem with the original transmission that then put junk into the converter, and the converter then transferred said junk into the second transmission. Even if the original transmission was brand new, and then failed (rare, I know, but I've seen it before), I don't know why you wouldn't have the USED converter checked. I appreciate you trusting that I wouldn't sell you junk, but if there was any doubt that the converter was the problem, then I wish you would have had it checked prior to putting it into another transmission. That was the only issue I had with helping with repair. These things happen though, so I appreciate your patience in letting me make good on it.
I realize my response to this is pretty late, but I am just barely looking at this and figured I'd offer an explanation.
If it was indeed the fault of the converter, then I apologize. I have installed and uninstalled countless converters, but anything is possible. Perhaps something happened when I pulled it, but we'll never know for sure. I know the fluid that came out of it looked great, and definitely no material. Like I said, the transmission it was in when I owned it is still performing flawlessly with a different converter more suited for my application.
Whatever the case, I'm sorry about the problem and the delay in getting you the $150 to help with repairing it. Best of luck with your current and future projects.
