Extremely poor person do deal with! Sold a used forged crankshaft to Travis. Three (3) weeks to receive payment after saying he would take it. While the crank was at my engine builder, he could not remove my timing gear since his hydraulic press was down. Travis couldn't wait and requested the crank be sent and that he would have my timing gear pulled and send it back to me. I spent almost $20 in bubble wrap to ship the crank along with taking the time to construct a 4-wall thick cardboard box to ensure that the crank had maximum protection during shipping.
Weeks (3+) had passed and I had not received any correspondence giving me an update on my timing gear. Multiple emails sent to Travis over a 4-5 week period requesting information on when I would receive the timing gear. I received one (1) email back saying that he sent the gear. Nothing had arrived.
Then, one day about 6 weeks after shipping the crankshaft, an empty paper envelope showed up in my mailbox. To my complete shock, this guy actually shipped the timing gear in a paper letter envelope and thought it would arrive safely! Needless to say, a piece of steel is not going to stand a chance in a paper letter envelope. Easily the most idiotic thing I've experienced in buying/selling with over 700 guys over the past 12 years.
Two additional emails were sent to him (with pictures) following the arrival of the empty paper envelope requesting that he address this situation of negligence. Both were obviously ignored. It's nice to know that I can spend $15 in bubble wrap and 30 minutes to build a custom box to protect his purchase, yet he attempts to ship my steel timing gear in a paper letter envelope.
I now have a pricey LT4 Extreme Duty timing set that is un-usable since the timing gear alone is no longer available for purchase separately.
Steer clear from this guy.
