I traded my leading industry th400 setup that was directly sent to this guy from Jakes Performance. I was supposed to be getting a t56 magnum with a like new mcleod twin disc clutch shifter drive shaft etc...

What I received was a completely destroyed (internally) transmission, a cluch that was mis shimmed and nearly destroyed due to slipping, and a driveshaft that was too long for my setup. The master cylinder was stripped out and the quick disconnect on the line to the slave was damaged to where you could not remove ti from the slave cylinder manually.

I paid for all components to be shipped to him and had a friend of mine pick up his setup. Everything looked good and about 2 miles into having everything installed and running I had a horrible clunking noise that made me stop and get towed home. Car is currently an untuned firebird making likely close to 300rwhp. I never even enjoyed a chance to rip on this thing.

I sent the transmission to D&D performance which is who built this transmission. They informed me it was completely destroyed and seconds away from coming apart. I had to purchase an entirely new transmission.

The clutch went to clutch dynamics in Lansing Mi. The clutch was nearly unsalvageable as the secondary steel plate was covered in hot spots. The shop shimmed the clutch properly as it was sent completely improperly setup.

The driveshaft I was sent was not the length he had informed me of. I had to have nearly 2 inches taken off the shaft to fit. I was told the shaft was the same size as the one I was sending him.

The master cylinder is currently being replaced as the line was altered and the quick release portion missing and will no longer connect solid into the slave. Upon driving with my new transmission about 15 minutes went by and I had a rock hard clutch pedal and no clutch. Car went to Speed Inc in Chicago where they informed me the master was bad.

Basically I sent the best of the best nearly brand new components to this guy with absolutely NO problems in good faith I would receive the same as he had told me I would. I now have only a readjusted clutch to show for it.

I attempted to contact him when I was told by D&D that the transmission he sent me was infact not a t56 magnum. He responded telling me he was under the impression it was and may have been mis informed. All other parts he had sold or traded were correct to what he was told. This is a little late I was wrong.

I tried to contact him again when i found the transmission was completely toast and never received a response. I have tried to come to some type of resolution but now after nearly 8k$ I am done being civil and informing this community of my poor experience.

I had just received clutch from Mcleod, so Your lying there.... As far as everything else, it was working great and performing just as it should before you got it, I pulled it all out of my car after running 6.40's in my 800 horse blower car..... I have numerous videos to show the performance of the parts. What you had did to it or what your doing I dont know, But I do all of my work myself I do not run my car to shop after shop getting diagnostics done on it... You can leave negative feedback all you want, but Ive been a member since like 2005 here and never have had a problem or issue bud.... Only positive things!

Thanks for your concerns though!

Clutch dynamics in Lansing, MI verified the clutch problem. D&D performance in wixom verified the problem with transmission. Car has seen roughly 10 miles on street untuned. Instantly sounded terrible. Removed it all and sent it to D&D . When I contacted you about it not being the t56 magnum your exact quote was " well I thought it was, I bought the car with all the modifications done and those all matched what I was told. "
Your only support was it had a viperized output shaft. Notice you have no complaints for the perfect condition components I sent you. If you had merely responded when I messaged you about the issues found you could have avoided this rating. It is great the car held up to your setup. Just disappointed you decided you could pass it off to someone who took your word as honesty when you started having problems. No name calling here, best companies in the industry verified my concern.

Not going to argue on social networking, but best industrys also couldn't even verify that it had a viper spec output shaft in the tranny when you called so just makes me concerned about what else you all have screwed up!

Thanks Have a good day!
