Sold a set of heads to this guy. Heads were in perfect condition, were dyno used only, all questions answered and the heads were 100% inspected before sale. Every inch of them, all threads inspected. Buyer claims that he was in a hurry, and that one of the header bolts was stripped. "I hand threaded in fine, but then pulled when torquing". If you ever tried to finger tighten a damaged thread, you'll know that a bolt would not go in by hand - BS claim #1.

Buyer then contacted me AFTER he allegedly had the threads repaired, AND AFTER he installed them in the car and has the car running. He is claiming $125 to have the thread repaired, another BS number. He has provided no pics of the claimed repair, and no receipt for the claimed work. BS claim #2.

Final clue - buyer originally offered $700 shipped, which I declined, and now wants me pay $67, half of the $125 in repair costs.... or pretty close to his original purchase offer.

I'm 100% feedback on ebay (kds-performance, formally beertestr), 200 transactions over 15 years as an ebay member. This guy is my first dispute in ALL this time selling and buying online.

Lol I had the motor on the stand waiting to be assembled and had to stop to go get the heads repaired. Do you really think my first thought there is to "drop you an email" I have 100% feedback on eBay as well so what? You made a mistake and I understand that happens but you refusing to meet me halfway on a repair is pretty low.

If I was going to make something up I'm pretty sure I'd come up with a lot more expensive bill than 125 bucks. Not to mention I only asked for half of that and only opened the claim when you didn't return my pms. Get over yourself man.

Yes, if you found something wrong THE FIRST THING YOU SHOULD HAVE DONE IS CONTACT ME.. right after you took a picture of the damage. You provided no information, no pics before or after the repair. Your claim of finger tightening the bolts proves to me something was awry with your claims. Damaged threads don't thread nicely by hand..

I'm sorry you damaged the heads, but your illogical claims and the way you went about things throws huge BS flags on my end, and I responded accordingly.

You filed a paypal claim, which paypal ruled in my favor.

Paypal closed the dispute not because they ruled in your favor but because i had the heads fixed. Here is the receipt from the shop fro the repair. I would like the full 120 dollar repair back in my paypal account by tomorrow morning. If its not there I will just let the credit card handle it and dispute the charge.
