Was sold a "low mileage" used forged LS1 longblock. Story was it came out of a guys car that had transmission issues on the dyno, so it had very little run time and was in great shape. I finally was able to pull the engine apart after a leak down test revealing bad numbers (6 of the cylinders were between 70-85% leakdown). All of the pistons had damage to them, all of the cylinders had damage to them, all of the rod and main bearings were trashed with some damage to the crank, all lifters had wear, camshaft has wear, rockers have wear, tops of valves have wear, basically anything that required oil has damage. there was clearly an oiling issue with this engine. The front of the crankshaft snout threads were also stripped out. Now I have to start over and salvage the few items from this engine and get bent on $2500. Do not trust this seller.
