I have email Lloyd Elliot (nighttrain66@msn.com) but he never has email me back. i have emailed him twice. i know there is a phone number but i would rather email. is there another way to contact him?

X2 I called him last week and it took him a bit to even call me back because it's about time for racing so everyone is sending and dropping off thier stuff right now. I e-mailed him as well 2 weeks ago about intake work and it took him about 4 days to respond by email. Just call him and if you get the machine leave a message, he will call you back faster than he will respond to an email.

Yeah, he's very very busy, I know hes doing a set of heads for me, and was saying hes got emails like you wouldnt believe and orders flooding in right now.

Ok thank you. i was wondering if it was his email or not. i have trying to make about 420 rwhp should i buy heads and a cam from him with him porting my intake or send him my heads and intake and buy a cam off him?

well...420rwhp, depends on supporting mods, but its do-able with stock castings, but you're gonna need a pretty healthy cam to get there. I'm going with his new trickflow heads and some other craziness, but I'm building a pretty silly motor to begin with, I'd jsut give him a jingle, he wont B.S. you or try to upsell you, hes a straight shooter.

Ok thank you. i am ging to buy a 3600 stall from yank and i have custom headers and magnaflow exhuast. do you think that would be enough? which heads should i go with from him? it is going to be a street car i will drive prolly 3 times a week.

Once again, with the heads, he'll be the best guy to guide you. The biggest part will be camming the car up, depending on how crazy you are willing to go and how emissions compliant you want to be will determine a lot. I mean his LE2 heads could get you there. but the other big questions is: how are you going to get the power to the ground? And how high are you gonna rev the engine? Cause, the stock internals on the engine arent made for super high revs, and the rear end is just a grenade waiting to go off even in stock trim...so, you might wanna do other things first.

what should i do for the rear end? and the engine is all stock. and where i live there isn't any emissions so i should be fine there. but i would still like it to be able to pass just in case i move.

Ok, well, you can go for the big motor numbers, but jsut realize you are living on borrowed time, both rear end, and engine wise. or you can do what most of us do, get your suspension upgraded first, then the rear end, and work your way forward to the engine. because what happens is, the first tiem you put stick tires on the rear end with that power youre gonna blow the thing sky high. now, with an automatic it may live longer, but still gonna be really really hard on the rear. its all up to you, and you can make the power you want on the stock bottom end, just know not to get a cam you need to spin to the moon to maximize. once again thats more of a conversation with Lloyd. But, for instance right now I have him doin trick flow heads and a big cam for me. I'm doing a turbo build, and that is all being backed up with a very built block, and my trans that i beefed up myself and soon will have a ford 9" out back.

I have sub frame connectors and bigger sway bars from umiperformance. i have slotted disks. idk what else i can't remember off the top off my head. idk anyone in this area that can do any good work on my car.

well, best place to find that info is go to cruise nights, go to test and tunes etc, find other enthusiats and ask around, find who does what and what shops to avoid and what ones are awesome etc...theyll steer you right.

Ok thank you for all your help. everyone else i have asked have been a**holes. but there is no car shows or anything i live. all they do is go mudding. i am from delaware and if i still lived up there i could get stuff done but a lot ppl i know up there.

a good resource then might be the mudding community, a lot of jeep guys use LT and LS powerplants in their rigs. Also, just get crazy on forums, LS1LT1.com, camaroZ28.com etc, theyre all good resources, and do searchs in their forums for your questions, cause lets face it if youve got the question, someone has probably asked it in one form or another over the years.

Alright thank you. but all they do is lift it up and put chips and use programmars they are not that smart. but maybe i can find someone in this area that might know. i wish there was a f-body group around here but there all the way in memphis and that 2 hours away.

honestly, replace it with a 12 bolt, an S60 or a 9" if you have the cash. if you need it to soldier on longer, get a support cover, and weld the axle tubes completely around. toss in a nice limited slip (true trac, eaton posi, etc) that will help it last longer. but still wont make it really strong enough to handle a lot of abuse.
