can't reach yank's website
 

just letting someone know that yanks website is down.

when you click on their banner you get a different site.

Worked for me...

doesnt work for me... i get "welcome to converter" with white back ground and cheap airfair crap.

Sounds like you might have a Domain Name resolution issue.

If you drop to a command prompt

(go Start... Run... and type COMMAND in the box that appears)

type in

nslookup www.converter.cc

the 'non-authoritative answer' should be

216.105.206.189

it says

DNS request time out.

Not sure where things are going amiss.... Sorry!

Try this

Goto this folder/file

C:\WINDOWS\System32\drivers\etc\hosts

Open the "hosts" file with notepad and edit it with this line. Just put this line down at the bottom of the page.

216.105.206.189 www.converter.cc

After editing the file, save the changes. Then completely exit out of your browser(File-->Exit) and open it back up.

Type in www.converter.cc and it should open up the right page.

By putting that line above in the hosts file it basically tells the browser what address to go to when you type in yanks site. :)


Also, while your in the hosts file check to make sure www.converter.cc is not already listed in there somewhere. If it is just delete the line it is on.
