Default RESOLVED:: Guess What I Got From Fuddle!!!

A broken *** converter..............

Ordered back in July, the converter got here in August.

We finished all the ends on the project and put the drivetrain together.

After doing this, we try putting the car in gear and it fall flat on its face. Dies and its over.

My builder says its the converter. I called my tranny guy to have him come look at it, and guess what, its the converter.

10 minutes in the car and its dead. A $550 Converter that doesnt work.

And to tell you guys the truth, i knew it wouldnt work, fuddle started sucking *** in there last few months of being a sponsor here and thats when i orderd my stuff.

Now i have to figure out how to get my money back. I dont want it restalled or fixed, im going Yank.

Any ideas on how i should approach this guys?

Tony.

Sounds typical. I ordered a convertor from him back around that time, and after a month and a half of not answering calls, not returning messages, and not answering emails, I finally called and left messages and sent emails saying to cancel my order. Then a month or so after that, a convertor shows up on my step, and my credit card was billed. He's on his own frickin planet!

Best thing to do is call as John is back in the shop now (check site for hours and phone number). Carissa is going to answer most likely and will help you get your issues straightened out - they are back on track and John is making sure customer orders/warranty/complaints are being handled right away.

DinoZ - most likely that was from the manufacture for Fuddle finding out there were outstanding orders and he filled them. They had no way of knowing how long people waited but wanted to try to resolve the outstanding orders asap.

Call John/Carissa and get it resolved. Try for a refund if it never worked.

Keep us posted, they want to come back on. We would let them only after they resolve problem deals.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

16 Minutes and 27 Seconds of KICK *** SERVICE.

Fuddle is Back.

We talked about this and that, and what setups he has and what would work with mine.

We also talked about what happend this summer. Its a very unfortunate situation John and his company went through. But from my talking to him it seems like all is well.

John said he would send me a new converter out MONDAY and when i got it and did the swap with the dud converter, to send it back. When he looks at it and finds there to be a problem, he will pay 80% of the install price.

He answerd the 2nd Time Too!

Im happy to see the customer service that fuddle was know for in my situation.

We were hoping you would have more communication from Fuddle once they were informed of your situation. Please keep us updated even if it seems redundant.

Tony, did anyone from Fuddle contact you before it arrived? tracking number or pm, anything?

You still need to keep us updated after its installed. Sorry to keep you on the hook for this but it helps us stay informed

Mine showed up without notice or warning... a long time after I cancelled my order. So if anyone needs a 3500 for an LS1 Fbody, I've got a Fuddle HP/Street 3500. $550 shipped.

Amy,

No Contact at all. I did call Jon and talk to him the day the stall arrived, we discussed a few things.

He told me they had some complications with building it, and he next day air'd it out to me.

Thanks for your time on this Tony. Seems communication still has some holes in it. My guess is Jon is busy getting warranty, old and new orders caught up though some communication eg: "Your converter was sent (shipping) with (tracking #), let me know if you have any further questions" would be part of gettting back on track.

If you install it and get some miles in almost winter weather, drop a post on its performance. Seems you had some strange issues with the previous one and curious if that is now resolved.

Well.....seems that it wasnt the converter, but maybe. John and I talked again, and it could be a mix of the trans and the stall.

Just spoke with John @ Fuddle who spoke with Tony (member) with the problem. Seems his tranny is the issue, he had backflow causing lock when the transmission was rebuilt.

John @ Fuddle would have responded here but is locked out from posting though he is keeping up by phone and email on this and other orders.
