diablosport trinity???
thinking of buying one. anyone have one maybe could let me know if its worth it or not and give me some pros and cons . thanks jon

I thought about getting a trinity but got a predator instead. The only tuning difference I see between the two is the chance of future transmission tuning with the trinity.
Other than tuning, you're getting visual gauges and functionality similar to a Gtech meter with the trinity. The performance meter won't be accurate so that's no incentive and I wouldn't be staring at the visual gauges anyway.

A few members on here have them I believe MonteSS has one and if he gets on here maybe he can shed some light on the tuner. The one major advantage of it is being able to support several custom tunes w/ multiple vehicles. You can get a custom tune from Lew and rock it out hardcore!

predators are at the end of their lifespan... they will be phased out, and are not getting any new updates....
now...
the Trinity, has more features, better data logging, easier to use, can create custom guage layouts for monitoring/logging, SD card support, can monitor/log external gauges such as a wideband O2 sensor... and will get future updates such as tcm/transmission support (yes, it IS coming and is in testing!) and the ability to tune more than one vehicle at a time...
if you get a predator, you'll also have to buy the pc interface kit so that you can connect it to your Windows PC in order to download saved/recorded data logs and import/export tune files for custom tuning when you decide to get custom tuning done for your car, and you will... predator + interface kit will run ya about $310 from marylandspeed.com -- but again, there will be no more future updates/functionality for the predator....
the trinity comes with everything you need... $599 from marylandspeed.com and has free shipping...
and yes, I can do the custom tuning for either one....

so this would take the place of me getting a pillar gauge pods the trinity would give me all the info i want like a/f ratio , oil press etc am i correct guys?

I got the superchips cortex I went this route cause the diablo does not support the trans tcm and the cortex does. Trans feels so much better shifts the way it should

yes... but, AFR is "commanded" AFR, not like AFR from a wideband O2 sensor...

it has worked for others in the past...
if yours has an unsupported calibration ID, it will still read the original backup, then you can send that file to the diablo boyz and they will make a new revision that includes support for your calibration ID, and you'd be good to go!

Look for some news on the new CTS-V and ZR1 support, followed by any other E67 stuff we'd like to add such as 07-up LS4s, 06-07 CTS-V's, 07-up TBSS, etc.
A Trinity will read the stock tune no matter what, and if it is not supported right out of the box, we can add support for it by having you email us a copy of the stock tune it reads out.

Before I can purchase the Trinity I certainly need trans. support since I have put 3.29's in place of the stock 2.93's. Any idea how soon? It would be nice to have it before summertime.
