Mongoose, since you probably have an LS4 cam laying on a workbench somewhere, can you take it to a shop and have them check it with a Cam Doctor? I'm sure a lot of us would like to get a definitive word on the cam specs as GOOGLE seems to pull up every LSx motor EXCEPT the LS4.

Thanks man, she's getting repaired right now. It really is true that you don't miss something until its gone .
Thanks man, the dealership up here is a bit more competent than my one back home, hopefully everything gets sorted out and I get my ride back fixed up correctly.
Sorry for the hijack, I may jump in on these headers, but is there a video or some footage yet? I'm all for the increase in horsepower but I've heard headers on a 3800 w-bod and it has the worst tone and sound I've ever heard.

are you sure you heard the headers without an aftermarket exhaust? The TOGs headers hooked to the stock exhaust or a cutout sound pretty nice... its the aftermarket exhausts added to our cars that sound like crap.... not sure about the pacesetter headers though

I'll try to get the videos, I ask Nick at thorleys what the exhaust tone sounded, he said the same but deeper....that was on a stock DP, magnaflow cat-back without resonator.

The only reason I won't tell the cam specs is because I was told not too. I see no reason to keep it a secret but I keep my promises. Wasn't the info I gave you enough?

They are beautiful headers. Im really impressed personally. They did exactally what i wanted to see. Thats how i pictured the headers could be made. i made a post along time ago showing two types of headers designs and talked about using a seperate DP for each bank. Wish i had the money to buy these. I couldn't tell the new peak HP number on the Graph.
From my personal custom Dyno Tune with no other mods i was at 264 HP i believe with the 20% drive train loss that put me at 330 crank HP. Remeber not to long ago it was hard to get 1hp per CI on a naturally asperated motor in a mass produced production car. So with my tune bein at 330hp and our motor is a 325ci in size. All of that with what most people would call arcaic OHV motor. Plus with all the restrictions of the intake and exhaust. We really cant be expecting every thing we do to gain 30 wheel Hp. I believe with an intake, headers, CAI, exhaust we will be around 320WHP with a really good tuner. Add a cam to really wake up the motor we should be really close to 400WHP
Honestly i feel 18 whp is a good gain for a otherwise restricted stock motor.
Not to mention untuned. We are 2 hp from 20hp which is what most headers claim on an average motor.
And for everyone bitching about having to weld in the DP to cat is it really that big of a deal??? ITs a FWD. And im sure they made the best product for the cheapest price they could. Sure if you want a true "bolt in" kit they could add $150 to the price and include a cat, then deal with the EPA like Hogan had to. Why would they do that with a small specialty batch like this.and if your smart there are good exhaust clamps used in the HD diesel truck market that could make this a bolt in application of course them clamps are like $40 or so which is about the price to have a pro welder weld up one piece of pipe that is required for the install.
I hope everyone can understand this post.

I guess we will see panther since i will have no restrictions anymore. I dont mean to sound pessimistic its just that i saw under 10hp gains for every mod so its a little discouraging. BUT i am hoping to see like 20hp gains between the intake and the headers which will put me finally above 300whp

Personally i wouldnt have changed the heads yet. But once everything else gets done you should have a great running car. I think Some of your issue may come down to tunning.
