will most likely be racing a camaro soon so today i had to go to my old school to get something and saw that a kid with rich parents just got a black camaro at the high school and im guessing that if he sees me on the road hes going to want to race me. i have seen him around town but i have never been in my car when i have seen him. was just asking you guys what my chances are of winning with the mods i have. im pretty sure he has the v6. my brother said its the z28. it doesnt sound like a v8 thats for sure but i may be wrong.

lol alright. i couldnt tell ya when its going to happen but when it does ill be sure to take a video. i wish i could get my diablo and cold air first so i have more horses to smoke em but it happens when it happens

RS=V6 SS=V8 Z28=?? (doesnt exist)

the v6 makes similar stock hp as you guys but weighs quite a bit more. They are typically mid to high 14's stock. If his is a manual transmission, you may have a bit of trouble with power loss through the drivetrain.

If its a v6 you will undoubtedly beat him. I raced one from my dealership and pulled two cars when i shifted into second. Z28's aren't made yet, if GM even decides to actually make them, I have sold cars here for over 4 years and I havent heard anything solid about them being produced yet. The RS package is no longer anything to do with performance, it is just cosmetic items now and can be added to the v6 or the v8. Just look for the slit under the edge of the hood, thats one sure way to tell if its an SS or not.

That's not 100% true. You can have an RS SS. The RS is just a package of features that are added onto the car. There is an LS, 1LT, 2LT which are V6 Camaro's.

Per Edmunds the Z28 is going to be a 2012 & available this summer but I read a couple of months back it was going to be a 2011 so time will tell.
