Default What kind of exhaust should I get?

Got a 07 gp gxp stock but wanna do some modding soon and wanna get exhaust and wondered what kind you guys like and how much it is. I would like to run no cats, cutout and maybe a bullet muffler idk. I realize I need to buy a tune to run without a cat what kind should I get? thanks. how big is stock exhaust and how big should I go?

And I dunno about getting headers can I still get group buy? are they worth it?

Best thing to do is listen to different mufflers, see what you like best and then have an exhaust shop make you a system. 3" single is the norm, buy some mandrel bends for summit to take to the shop if you don't want the crushed bends.

As far as headers, give Doug Thorley a call and see what the price is on them.

Wheres a good place to buy a tuner for it and how much do they run?

Your best bet is to find a local dyno tuner and have your car professionally tuned.

Yeah I just would like to be able to have a performance tune without dod and then 1 with it for highway driving

Best set up in IMHO is a 3" catless down pipe all the way to the rear split into stock pipes. Just before the split have 3" electric cut installed. This would be cheap and allow no drone

Good point.

And as far as the tuning goes, buy a SCT handheld tuner and have your tuner write you 2 tunes.

except that the SCT doesn't support our vehicles... heh... at least, it doesn't say it does on their site...

The SCT will work just fine for uploading and downloading tunes from HP tuners and other tuning software. If you want multiple tunes, get them saved onto an SCT from HPT or what have you.

i deleted my resontor with 2 1/2" pipe and put on cherry bomb vortex mufflers couldnt be happier i get compliments wherever i go...also i have a diablo tuner gettin ready to get my custom tune with it
