This is not the stock cam from the G8 GT, it's a New Era Performance grind meant to work with DOD. I haven't had to pull the heads yet. There is a lot of average torque left on the table with this grind. Something with more aggressive lobes would give you more power, but you'll have to change lifters. If you want more power than I got for a cam change, I'd recommend going with a custom grind, or something like a 220/220 to 224/224 from any of the site sponsers.

Sorry to resurrect this old thread, but i want to clarify, in a nutshell... the parts and tune: New Era Performance DoD camshaft designed for the 6.0 in the G8. Cam was finally installed at 2deg advance, is that right? LSX intake, Headers. I want to do a cam swap ehile the engine is out on the ground before the engine swap. Thanks.

He has a different cam installed now with a FAST 102mm intake and Nick Williams TB. Should be around 390-400WHP... Header collector dia. and exhaust is holding him back from making more IMO.

I see that in his signature now that I look. I guess he eliminated the DoD. I'll start a new thread.
