Title says it all. I found this while searching. I also found a $125.00 tool.
Any tips or tricks?

Dammit! I have to pull my belt to swap alt brackets. I may have to just spend the 125.00 Stinking intake swap.

I made one, I'll post pics after I get off work.
Thing I like about mine is you don't have to find the tensioner.

i havent changed my belt yet(i need to its makin some noise) bt can you not juust use a 15mm wrench and another 17mm on the end of it to loosen off the tensioner? maby clearence issues wont allow that. I know you can buy that tool here in canada at canadian tire for like 40 bucks.

Here is my tool.
it fits over the center boss on the ps pulley. Rotate it towards the back (lubed with soap) and work the belt off. I got it off in 5 minutes, with a 5 month old strapped to my chest (seriously...). Put it back on in about 10 minutes, without the help of the baby
For the sake of getting this build done, and hearing the results, I would ship it to you to use if you could cover shipping.

That is too good to be true! I just bought the tool from Car quest for 25.00.
Thank you so much man, I'll keep you guys posted. I'm just waiting for my OPSU adapter now, for now LOL.
I am going to install my alt bracket tomorrow though.. just to get it out of the way and to make pulling that rear intake bolt out much easier. I'm also going to give the belt a good cleaning just for preventive maintenance

Guess I'll see if Autozone has something. If not then I'll make the tool work.
Thanks Mel

Didn't work for ****..
Looks like I can jack the car up, pull the pass side wheel, and remove the inspection cover to gain some access.
