hows it going ... I just got put onto this website.. seems to have some good info.. I just bought a 08 Impala SS 2 months ago.. when i got stationed here at fort hood.. got one more month b4 i head out to iraq again.. good thing about that is extra $$$$ to do some mods to the SS...

i took her to the track lastnight ran the qtr real $#itty i dunno why ... i only ran a 15.5 lol
9.9 1/8 at 70mph n finished the qtr 15.5 @ 74 mph????

Just work on your launch and your times will drop. I'm still working on mine Try using TAP when you do the 1/4. I run mine in Drive and TAP it into 2nd all the way. I'm also trying to get the timing right as to when to open my cutout.

I used to launch my old FWD car at about 2000 rpm's then gradualy (sp?) floor it. It used to work for me with very minimal wheel spin.

I'm trying new things. I feel like the car runs better in first when the cutout is closed rather than when it's open.

yea i left it in drive... but i really think it should have picked up more than 4mph in the last 1/8 mile

Welcome dude, too bad you only got a month before you deploy.

I'm local here, work in Killeen. If you're down for another track trip before you deploy, hit me up.

You're letting off too early at the strip. It pretty much sounds like you're not letting her rip 100% either.

Judging by your 1/8th mile E.T. and trap, you're probably in the high 14 second range. Bone stock in 100+ temps I managed 14.7 @ 94 with a 9.6 1/8th mile. Now in the mid 13's with a few mods.

But yeah man, there isn't many LS4 locals here, so hit me up if you're down to hit up one of the spot all the car people go to or if ya wanna hit up the 1/4 mile again.
