Honestly, I have had great success with pepboys rotors and akebono pads. They are not very expensive and have already lasted longer than the OEM junk brakes...

Are you going for performance upgrade or stock OEM replacements? If your going the performance route, I would recommend F/R EBC's with their redstuff brake pads. My car stops on a dime and the brake pads release very little dust. They are not that much more expensive than OEM's and you get 2x the performance.

I have bought a lot of hawk and ebc pads. I have tried their high end ones and there low end ones and they all result in 2 things. Very poor life span, like about 2 months, and a LOT of brake fade.
I had my brakes redone at a shop and they put on super cheap brake pads. Now i get no brake fade and they have lasted for a long time.

Really? I have not experienced that at all yet and I have had them on all summer and no problems. They have treated my real well.... The only compliant that I have about them is when I do a high speed gradual stop, the rotors make a visible noise for about 10 seconds and when the car is below 60, the noise disappears.... I believe that I have over 6k on the brakes (2 oil changes).

i would like to try the esb red stuff, or a oem replacement but i am more than likely going to be getting the red stuff. all i know is that the rotors and pads that are oem are kindof crappy, once they get hot, they chatter like hell so i might get some new rotors also. can you have drilled or slotted rotors turned? because i read somewhere that you cant. its going to be snowing alot out here soon also so im going to make a decision soon

can you have what turned down? Also i would not recommend drilled rotors, i would get slotted or flat ones. The drilled ones crack. I have had two sets crack. The first were factory ones the second set was from r1 concept. I currently have r1 concept drilled rotors that have cryo treatment and they seem to last now.

I don't know if these are the "best" or not.....but I replaced my worn out factory rotors & pads with units from Vato-Zone this past weekend. I normally would never, ever run their typically low quality rotors, but these look to be very good quality, and a decent price at $70 each. I used their Cmax pads, and they look to be a good quality as well.
They work MUCH better than the stock units. Very quiet and excellent grip. Here's a pic:
