Bumper decision for my single exhaust?

Another awful 'shop, the split will be 'stitched' and/or bandaided and the void will be filled.

Or the bumper from a base model with/without the PONTIAC filled?

Second pic with a single would look nice.

JP_GXP 12-09-2010 11:47 PM

My only problem with the base clip is it doesn't sit as low. The car will also be a different color by this time. I need more facetime with a base model.

Super LaX 12-09-2010 11:49 PM

Fill in and keep the twins.....it's looks "European".

christopher.lazaris 12-10-2010 12:10 AM

Wait this isn't a gxp?

evil 5.3 12-10-2010 01:12 AM

put a base model rear on it an go for the full sleeper look change the front end as well everyone would think it just a gt

monte_with_a_LS4 12-10-2010 06:02 AM

i say stick with the gxp bumper and fill it in if your just trying to do a weight reduction. if your trying to make it a sleeper then go with the base model bumper

JP_GXP 12-10-2010 07:01 AM

Weight reduc, I'd have to change too much to make it look like a base model.

And, it's a GXP, doing single 3" exhaust to cut weight and improve flow.

Think I'll just stitch it, get a plate that reads THATHRT or THTHURT, and call it a battle scar. :)

Hawkins04 12-10-2010 07:20 AM

stay with the gxp bumper and fill in the opening. the base doesnt look that good

BlauGXP 12-10-2010 10:59 AM

Definitely not a fan of the base model look. +1 for keeping the GXP bumper.

JP_GXP 12-10-2010 11:58 AM

Patched GXP it is. :thumb:

Think I may chop of the driver's side and patch it up, just to get used to it.

gxp-miller-gxp 12-10-2010 06:04 PM

hell keep the bumper, and still have the tips there even though they wouldnt be functional.

JP_GXP 12-10-2010 06:31 PM

The tips may already be claimed. ;)

gxp-miller-gxp 12-10-2010 06:36 PM

lol well if there not claimed by that other guy ill buy them lol. also if you plan on getting rid of the magnaflow mufflers give me a price . however i think single exhaust with one mangaflow muffler would sound pretty good

texasGXP08 12-10-2010 06:55 PM

I say single side gxp bumper, with the tip tucked in a bit (at most, flush with the bumper). That would be very sleeper...until you heard it.

JP_GXP 12-10-2010 07:00 PM

I'm not running the MagnaFlows, if you don't get the Spintechs we can work something out. ;) Tucked tips do look sexy.

gxp-miller-gxp 12-10-2010 08:08 PM

im not gonna be getting the spintechs

JP_GXP 12-10-2010 08:55 PM

Ah, well when I get my Borla, I'll let you know. :)

gxp-miller-gxp 12-11-2010 11:28 AM

alright awesome. so is your goal to make the fastest n/a gxp around or what?lol

JP_GXP 12-11-2010 02:15 PM

It's not gonna be N/A. I just want a fast car I can shove up the S/BC guys' asses. :P And to do what I posted in my intro thread on 318, hit 10s, but that goal is a good long way away.
