Default Again???

Obviously Victory Red and HID's are not easy to see. 45 mph zone, decelling then hard brakes to impact. Airbag deployment. Nice thing is that I drove away, bruise to my collar bone and some stomach pain.

That's TWICE this car has taken a hit and drove away - was going to get a Regal Turbo but now am going to stick with this car until it stops running.

And you NASCAR fans might appreciate this:

Have a contest to see who can be the closest to how much damage $$$ - also trashed the front seat belt pre-tensioners.

Yeah - twice it was the fault of others, this car can't catch a break.

Thanks - a $6.99 Ace Hardware investment to hold the nose from dragging / blowing off the car - almost all of the attachment points were broke off.

Hawk you're the closest so far. Oddly the air dam would have totaled the car.

Strange how selective the air bags are at deployment. I had no deployment and $7k repair. Take a gander at mine. 3rd time for me, just don't care anymore as long as no one is hurt. 2 times caused by careless drivers, 1 deer.

See my avatar. Yes its mine, rear ended by someone in a gmc truck, I think it scratched his bumper (insert profanity here)

BTW, this was no drive away, it bled dex.

Dang! You're right, and glad you were ok. These cars seem costly to repair.

I read up on deployments, and a glancing blow will not trigger. Mine was a square T-bone, but the thought is the sensor was wrecked.

When mine was rear ended I ended up on the hood of the truck.

Yeah, we are all Ok. Now my wife wants a Monte as here next car. In a month we will have one.

Your car came out nice! Nice color! I looked at it this way when I crashed the GXP... The rock chips dissapeared so it did have its benefits. lol.. I had $2300.00 in damage to the front end.

Great news! You guys getting a SS or the V6? I think you can get the fogs and SS style spoiler on the V6 version.

Thanks - yes it looks new again - staying way behind semis on the highway today.

We are probably going with a V-6 one unless we can find a great deal on a newer SS V-8 version. The good news is we are going to pay cash so no note will be taken out on this one. I refuse to feed the banks any longer. Hopefully this time next year I'll have an older Vette too. I am crossing my fingers.

It's hard keeping any car free of chips in these 20 snow storms we had. lol... I am hoping for a very early spring.
