Trans was slipping pretty bad 1-2 and was bouncing off of the limiter, so I had to shift around 6200 instead of 6500. Pegged 7000k a few times lol.. Stock converter is killing me... no traction issues at all last night, roll into it and go. My new 3000 stall should get me into the power band quicker as with 3.69's

The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time

Drag radials NT555R's and spring blocks. I'm looking to hit 1.7-1.8's next week with a little foot braking. Stock converter is really huring me. I would almost bog out of the hole when hooking real hard. The tires are street tires and I've been driving around with them on. Tire pressure was 22psi. I'll try 18psi next time and put a little water on them to help heat them up.

What did your car come stock with for HP? My Monte had 303 stock.
Had to edit this one, it was second to third gear was a big difference.
