In addition to my up comming heads, brace your selves
As most of you know, I'm going with TFS 205cc heads https://ls1tech.com/forums/ls4-perfo...ad-bottom.html with .045" head gaskets. These heads will require
7.5" pushrods and aftermarket rollor rockers. Stuff adds up!
I'll be selling my Molly 7.45 pushrods and 243 heads to offset to cost.
With theese heads I'll be sitting at 11.00:1
I have decided to convert to E85 since I'll need tuning, new injectors and fuel pump anyways. I found a Diablo sport, CMR tuner at Blood enterprises to work with Lews previous tune on the dyno. Going to costs a few dollars but shoud save over having to reflash back to stock (Vin specific) Dave at Tripple edge will be tuning the PCM due to the gear swap. 3.69's. I'm just waiting for the freaking converter which should have been here over 2 weeks ago E85 is about 105 octane and burns a lot cleaner compared to petro. We have quite a few stations up here now, and it's much cheaper then 92. The extra octane will allow me to run the cam "AS IS" and will also help prevent detonation. The only down fall is that MPG's will take a dump. About 30% less
I will also be sparying here real soon. A real good friend of mine has decided to sell his complete kit for a screaming deal! Comes with a window switch and LPE timing controller. E85 will require a 30% bigger fuel jet. Tunner and dyno shop will deal with the details
I plan on trapping 115-118 N/A and will spray whatever it takes to reach 122mph in the 1/4. Nitrious will be going on at the end of this month if everything goes as planned and the heads and E85 in September. Gotta get the trans done first!

sweet deal man, glad to see your going with 11.0:1. Just as a side note, I'm sure you'll be able to get away with the 11.0, 93 octane and your cam just fine. The E85 should be worth a few ponies on its own with your setup. Will also help really well with the Nitrous. Shouldn't even have to pull much timing depending on what your running now. LS engines LOVE nitrous. My vette was a whole different car, insta-bigblock.

11:1 it is. Just sucks that the head gaskets costs 75 a piece Moving my Cr up to 11:1 should give me about 3% more power from what I have read.
nitrious will be used to trap 122 and then its a done deal.. Hopefully can trap 116 with heads and E85. I'm really worried about IAT's in the summer since these cars get so god dam hot. E85 will give me a little breathing room. 118mph is about 400whp in a F-body so I'm just trying to keep up. Most of the f-bodys out here are 112-116 auto and 114-118 mph for the manuals. The autos are E.T kings and the sticks are MPH kings.
Definitely shooting for 11's

I have read that E85 on a built N/A LS engine can provide up to 5% more peak hp, and 10% more mid range tq, up to peak. I guess we shall see.
11:1 it is. Just sucks that the head gaskets costs 75 a piece Moving my Cr up to 11:1 should give me about 3% more power from what I have read.

all true info, but I adjusted one thing. However, I would be a little more conservative on my estimation on how much that E85 will give you.
