Default Recently installed a kenwood DVD player in my car. check it out

So my brother did an alarm install on someones car, a WS6, it was pretty nice, loud. anyways, the kid gave him the kenwood for doing it. It's not bad, and it was free to me, I'll probably throw my bro some cash, plus he installed everything, I helped a little.

As for the player; its your basic cd/mp3/dvd/radio combo. I will probably get nav for it, I drive all over for my job. have a look, anyone own one like this? it says its discontinued.

I wish someone would get the Rosen gm unit, but it's more spendy than a pioneer, kenwood etc.

Just put your car in on crutchfield and see if it says compatible then buy somewhere else.

I wanted a double din, but this was just given to me. Didn't have to spend $400-700 for something I "really" wanted. I just like how it comes out and goes in. it's not "always" showing. I miss my 6-disc tho

I just saw that Rosen unit at crutchfield.com. Looks to be exactly what I'm looking for. Crutchfield wants $1500, I found one for $1000 on ebay. So tempting...

I know it's around 1k. About the same as getting a stock gm nav if you can find one.

I had one very similar to that with the 'Z' in and out motion. Mine was the kenwood kvt-514, pretty good head unit until the motor went out after owning it 4 months. Best buy gave me a new one and it did the same thing a year later. I hope you have goodluck with yours man!

and i dont care too much for that rosen unit, lookwise. nothing stands out and everything looks pretty basic, unless its got a bunch of features i'll pass.
