As the title says. i am completely upset at GM. This will be my second transmission job. I dont beat on my car or anything. I will have a new car soon. Hopefully. Am i the only one who strongly dislikes their car?

Love the car, hated the trans problems. TEP got me through the trans problems so we're stoked with the car now.

Loving mine.... Will be giving TEP some hard earned money soon though. GM did mess these up but with a "little" help and a few simple mods they're good to go.

I love and hate mine, I had my tranny built with all the TEP upgrades so I am pretty confident I will not have any issues for quite some time with that. Now I am just dealing with suspension issues all around that are being a pain to track down. Nothing with functionality, just noises here and there and I hate that.

Get your tranny built by a good source that fixes all the things that GM should have done in the first place and you won't have as many issues.

I've had it built with a shift kit the first time around. As the mechanic said, "I don't know why Chevy put a v8 engine with these horrible 4 spd transmissions. I don't even know why they would have all that power on the front tires anyway." he's right. I think GM lost a valuable customer in me.

But anywho, my check engine light came on but it went off. So I decided to get a tune up next week when I get my tax return. After that the car started slipping but I didn't pay it any mind and chalked it up to the engine because the engine is running rich. So I'm on my way home from work and I'm at the traffic light and it wouldn't move. I tried reverse, D, 1, 2, 3 and got nothing. People were pissed as usual so a cop asked if I were alright and I told him my tranny went. Him and his buddies came and pushed me into the nearest parking lot. Then I waited an hour for AAA. I'm taking the car to my family's mechanic and getting a rental. With my tax return, I will be looking for another car. I owe 11k on it so I won't be getting anything above 16 or 17k

Why spend more money,just go with TEP to build you a transmission and call it a day.its better then being upside down 11k on top of a new loan. 3k vs 11-26k I would go with the 3k
