its like 515 bucks to get a new smooth one and the rough is like 140 or somethin. i would consider finding a place that would repair it depending on the ammount of damage. start callin local auto body places and ask if they do plastic repair and how much or bring it in for an estimate. refinish rocker moulding is 1.1 hr and r&i rocker moulding is .7 hr.

heres the part numbers. Grain finish R 88893478 and L is 88893477. Smooth finish R is 12493722 and L is 12493723. Retainer rocker moulding Gray (6/side) R/L 10431761 Natural (8/side) R/L 25724529. Seal (cut to fit) R/L 10419497. That seal is over $60. ick. I would assume passenger is right side and hopefully your clips and seal are reusable. Im not sure if smooth means it comes painted or just primed.

Part number 12493722 was superceded by part number 19153359. Part number 88893478 was superceded by part number 19149625. hmm.

anyways 12493722 came up on gmpartsdirect.com for $430 and 19153359 was $530. probably wouldnt find it any cheaper other than a salvage place.

I did the same thing to my car about a 6 inch long scrape about 1/8th of a inch wide. What i did was sand it down preped the area to be painted put a primer on it and put 3 coats of the gm black dupont paint and clear coated it and its almost impossible to see where its been scraped.

Thanks for taking the time to post all of that. Greatly appreciated. I'm going to look into having a friend of a friend fix it. He redid the rear bumper on my brothers '00 GTP and it looks great. Paint booth right in his garage.

Is anyones front bumper loose at all? I just noticed it today when i was installing the snow tires. I can move both sides up like 3/8-1/2". All the clips are there but doesn't seem like they are really tight.

Yeah the outside facia. Looks like it only has the push on clips with that center screw that pushes the clip outwards.
