Cool Just purchased an 05 GP GXP my

I bought my GXP two days ago with 49k miles. I am new to LS4 and have been doin some research. I have a few questions after I popped the hood and was amazed my "future" mod list was there already.

It has DT Headers, Intense CAI, no cats with stock mufflers and resonator. I think It has a shift kit since the shifts are comparable to my silverado with a vette servo.

My questions:

Is it tuned already since there are no CEL and idles nearly perfect?

I am almost positive I don't have a LS4 TB. It looks just like the one that was on my 4.8 silverado (LS1 Style) I have pics posted up soon.

One thing I can say is that it pulls way harder than my bolt-on tuned 265whp Altima 3.5 that I sold to buy this beast.

Is it dark cherry metallic by chance?? Quite possibly is my old car. If so, you also have an LS1 intake, lowering springs, and yes it has been tuned but no shift-kit. Where did you buy the car from?? I'm guessing from the mileage and mods, it's my old car. LS4 emblem on the trunk?

Look familiar???

Joe.

post pics when you get a chance. it may pull way harder than your altima because of the huge torque difference between that 3.5 and the ls4.

if it has the headers and no cats and you're not getting a CEL, then yes, it's been tuned...

Aaron,

Atleast he admitted that it was his.....I've been trying for 6 mos to find my former owner and nobody will buck up and admit it. Mines dark cherry and modded before I got it too. Now it has a new trans and ready to go. Good luck with her and enjoy it.

All washed, waxed and repolished the tips and wheels. I love it!! My future mods are shift kit, trans cooler and retune.
Already added my BLOX filter with velocity stack.

So you bought it in Stafford huh? Do you live in the area? I'm not too far away in Pearland, it would be nice to meet another local LS4 person.

I have an 06. 120k. I've have it 25 days and fixed several things on it. Enjoy it while it lasts. Not very durable. Well, at least mine is a damned lemon

120k miles though, that gives plenty of time for abuse from the previous owner(s). Lemons will normally have issues way before 120k.

thats pretty awesome that happend, and you got well over 1,000 in mods.
800 ish for headers
200 at the least for tune
probably at least 500 all together for ls1 intake set up

i live in louisiana and you really should get a trans cooler as well as a shift kit, its not hard to check either. and its easy to do if you have the pan already dropped. at 50 thousands miles though now is the perfect time to change out the trans fluid

God dayum I love that color! What a small world. You picked up a sweet ride, especially with the mods it already has. I agree with GXP-miller....trans cooler and shift kit are much needed and you'll be really happy with the improvement in your shifts. Congrats and welcome to the boards.
