Default Dyno numbers are in. Had a big day:) with vid!!

Took the GXP down to Turbo Tech, and had George (owner and master tuner)
re-work my tune/tunes.

The computers have been tuned by 3 different people, so I felt it was time too have someone do the whole dam thing right, and to tune for more then just WOT.

I am now HP tuned and what a difference! Every gear pulls so.... much harder. The transmission is super responsive now with no more converter lug. George made adjustments to pretty much all areas. Used terms and such, that I have never heard of. Vey nice guy, and super professional.

Baseline pull made 332/306
Finishing pull made 349.85@6000 334.92@5000
Now.... you all know why I am using 3.69 gears lol!

The torque is nice and flat all the way across the power band.

Injectors were only 42% duty cycle, so I have plenty of room to grow.

And for those of you who wanted sound clips, here you go!

Those are some great numbers David. Now you just need to get some new track times. It be nice to see a low 12 sec N/A LS4. Was the HP falling off by 6000 rpm? I would think your set up would like to rev to 6500 rpm or so.

Congrats!!!

What have you done to it to make that power? How high do you think you can go with a N/A that's still streetable?

Custom cam (ditched DOD)
C5-R chain
Pocket ported heads
Std. Vol LS6 oil pump
LS6 intake
CAI
Headers
High flow cat
3" into dual 2.5" exhaust
TR55 plugs (.045" gap)
Built trans (robbing power lol)
275 tires

With the stock tires, and trans, my numbers might have been a little higher.

Not much higher. Adding a bigger cam would cause the power band to jump higher, and be a lot less fun to drive.
3.69 gears is the biggest we can go and cause's 3 rd gear to drop bellow 4500 rpm after 80ish mph. I could actually use less cam!

-Small port heads which flow more CFM then the 243's
-Increassing CR
-TPiS LS6 90mm intake and LS2 tb
-Removing the cat (not recommended)

So do you think it would be possible to see 400fwhp on N/A with 3.29s and stock tires? After I get my trans built up this year that's my goal (or at least get as close to it as possible while still having a decent DD)

400 whp N/A out of a 5.3L with our platform is a serious challange.

Breaking 300whp is hard enough!

awesome build man. question though do you think the exhaust is holding you up? for your hp level i think that doug thorley design might be to small or inefficent i knoww its FWD and the issues that makes. But **** we could have a little longer primaries IMO.

I gained tq. The top graph is hp and the middle is tq.

I am assuming the final run didn't strat recording until a higher rpm.

2nd gear is now usless

11's is doubtful.

I did trap dam near 89mph in the
1/8th mile though, which I am pleased with.

With traction I should be good for mid 12's.

Do you know how much you gained from porting the heads? Eventually I'm gonna go in the same direction as you, but I'm wondering if I NEED to get the heads ported while they're off doing all the other work.
