What is the latest on the LS4 trans issue? This is crazy..how many have been reported/fixed/blown and we got nothing but a few headlights for some vettes get blown..30 people complain and they get the investigation??
am I missing something...sorry been away for a while and yes my trans is still slipping.

I feel your pain, but low beams failing at night > transmission failure.
EDIT: Play nice with that transmission and hold out for a little while more.

NHTSA only gets involved on safety issues.
And my understanding, based on another member's discussion with the NHTSA, is that they did look into the trans problems, but was deemed not be a safety concern.
And if you think about, there's past precedence for the NHTSA not getting involved on stuff like this: Ford was losing head-gaskets on the 5.4 V8 at a very high rate when it was first introduced, but the Feds never forced a recall. Closer to home, the TH700-R4 transmissions used in the early 3rd gen F-bodies had nearly a 100% failure rate by 50,000, and there was no government intervention.
Basically, we're on our own, with only Dave @ TEP to help.
