Default Ls1 throttle body on ls6 intake installed today

So today i finally finished my project ls6 intake and ls1 throttle body the tb was a pain in the @#$ But i got it running thanks to a few people on her x11 nut and 91 park ave ill post a video in a bit but it all runs great after extensive tuning it took about 5 hours today to get everything right

Good job man !! Glad to see it done - should put the "we can't use LS1/6 throttle bodies to rest"!!

Looking forward to seeing the LS7 MAF added, then we'll have to do a night at Moroso..

Yes and i got alot more pics and stuff to post after everything is all said and done still have clean the wiring up re lume all the crunchy bs and the wiring is a must becouse thats what i do for a living so it my rep but everyone who has seen it so far loves it!!! And holy **** what a differnce with the intake and tb all tuned in i would say the car is 30% faster

Can you give details on wiring of the tbody and anything you had to do in tune to make that tbody work?

I'll post the wiring schematic and some pics of the harness when I get home later. Once you have the wiring pigtails it's pretty straight forward rewire. Well, long as you follow diagram and don't question the pin signal - the TPS low & 5 ref have to be swapped for each sensor because the TPS is on the opposite side of TB for LS1 vs LS4.

I'm waiting to see what 08 Pimpala's tuner adjusted to get it sorted. Just plugging it in it will open and cycle the throttle blade but after short drive it'll set codes for TB, so TPS vs airflow values have to change for sure.

All you'll need to do is grab the etc area scaler and plug in that number.

Here is the pin out i got this one originally from x11 And be sure that u look carefully at the plug the pin out for the ls4 is the car side and the ls1 stuff is connector side or u can just follow the chart below! and as far as tuning goes the first problem i had was it would run fine at idle speed but as soon as i rev it it would die and u get p0068 witch is map mass air flow out of correlation my tuner just had to turn that code off at first to get her running the the tb parameters needed alot of tweaking for throttle response it would drive but i was really jumpy now it almost perfect. my tuner said he would send me the file as soon as he gets a moment anything else just ask. And we actually have two options for the mounting of the tb u can not use the spacer and bend the heater lines out a little bit but i found pushing the in was much easier just had to cut the bracket where the fuel line comes in at. And i like the spacer it gives the car a really nice whistle when u give it gas

So is anyone else out there gonna try this mod with the tb it is by far between the im my best mod so far the response the ls1 tb has is unlike no other

Godamn man. I wouldn't pay more than 400 for a ls6 with rails and injectors. Vloms are 50 and tbs can vary but no more than 150. But yea tuning if you can't do it will cost you. That's why I invested in HP tuners and started myself

Well to break it down i paid 300 for the intake man 175 for railks and injectors 100 for the throttle body 60 for vally cover mod and i also counted the ls7 maf 45ish air straightener 40 and other odd bs like 50 for the tb spacer so that backwards *** tb would fit **** adds up quick
