Hit the 3800 forums for sale sections or post here as well. Must be someone with a good stock stall converter for cheap.

I'm not going through the trouble of swapping a stock stall converter back in this time around, if the engine or trans comes out, its going to be a performance converter suited for the job this time. Not wasting money and labor a second time.

I searched quick but there really doesn't seem to be much out there without going custom. My ****** head would blow off if another converter did the same ****. This really shouldnt have to be trial and error, it should be what it says it will be. Could TEP give you and exchange? This came up in my search, I believe its what 91parkave used.

WTF, this just isnt happening fast enough. Get a second job and get this done so I can complete my want list lmao. Kidding for sure. I think you have done more in a quicker time than anybody here and this has been great reading and tons of great info. This car when complete will be top notch I am sure of that and you will be down to widdlieng hundredth of a seconds thru tuning as there wont be anything left.

patience my young padawan learner. lol i finally got my trim moulding in today, sanded it down all nice and started painting it with trim paint, and a damn fly goes right onto it and gets stuck in the paint. And i ****** ruined it trying to get it off. Now i gotta sand the whole thing back down again and redo it. -_-

Oh hell yea, December 18th for the new star Wars. Cant wait! Your a perfectionist, leave that fly right in there lol. I was like that when I was younger. I had so much work into one of my IROC's and it was so nice I rarely drove it. My 89 Formula was mint, mint, mint. My wife was driving it and she was 9 months pregnant with our first when a 16 year old girl ran a red light and t-boned it. My wife wasn't hurt or the girl, insurance fixed the car and I sold it because it wasn't perfect anymore. Nice is good enough for me nowadays.

didnt have any plastidip around, just duplicolor trim paint, gives the same effect its just a more permanent application.

ran my buddies mid 12 second GTO tonight on the worst of nights to race 75*+ dewpoint, 85 degrees, just awful. First run he was about a car and a half two cars ahead of me, but he got the jump by a long shot, second time around I held his rear bumper up to 110 before we let off, but he claimed his trans was having trouble shifting  all in all though, i was happy with how the car performed, probably not a 12 second car just yet but it definitely has low 13's in it to be that close with the goat. The distance he put on my 14.6 second integra when we raced one time was about 10 bus lengths. lol So this was a drastic improvement.

Thought id post a clip of my log file from the race and show what ive been reading. High end MAF table (which was set to stock at the time) was showing a bit lean, LTFT was adding 5.5% fuel based a previous value from closed loop, and it was putting me right in the ballpark of what i shoot for, for o2mv's on an NA car. KR could be phantom so i increased the decay rate by 50% to see if this goes away or if its timing table related. Possible my exhaust which is STILL RATTLING is causing this. Shifts are almost exactly on point, raised my 2-3 mph up by 1mph to bring it in a little closer to 6200. You can see that the KPA in the area i posted below is dropping off towards redline, 96kpa or so, which is about 2-3 in-hg, which means the car is pulling increasing amounts of vacuum and outflowing the manifold.

Yeh i know, ill never know if its at the ideal afr for making power without a wideband for accuracy, but this ballparks it and keeps it from running crazy lean or crazy rich. If I knew the o2 temp id be able to pinpoint it more accurately but I have to just assume that its running at normal operating temp. At the track ill be able to add or subtract fuel and see what nets better results.

That was one of my first investments. And I hope you set your stoich to whatever gas your using it should be more like 14.2 for gas with up to 10% ethanol and of course your normal 14.68 to 14.7 for ethanol free.

Nah, in fact i always tune them a little leaner, something around like 15.2 or so for part throttle cruising. On the honda's i used to go as high as 16 for cruising which would net some pretty nice gas mileage but I wont risk that on 8 cylinders. Granted of course, its also important to check plugs when doing this as well. You start running the cylinder too hot and your gonna run into trouble.

Good run against the goat. Any chance of getting to the track tonight?

Same here. I would love to be a weatherman. You make big money, never really have to be right and still have a job. Yesterday they said no rain for today, I guess they looked out their window and changed the forecast

It's worse in the wintertime, they got crucified last winter over some of the predictions they were making. The blizzard of 2015 was the biggest joke going on the east coast. They were forecasting almost 2 feet of snow and we got flurries. lol We were in a state of emergency and it wasnt even snowing.
