So the problem has been solved! This was not a wiring issue, this was an ECU incompatibility with the LS3 throttle body. Per this thread...http://www.hptuners.com/forum/showth...ced-code-P1516

Which details the issues people have been experiencing with Nick Williams 102mm throttle bodies which are built on the LS3 internals, HPT has developed a beta version with a patch that allows editing of the P2101 and P1516 parameters. They sent me a copy of the beta along with a patched version of my tune file which gave me the options.

What do sent make sense is that a couple with 07 ecus are running gold blade ls3 without issue. Really strange you had this issue but I am aware a lot of 07 trucks had the same problem

What i found interesting was that it still triggered REP mode even if you deleted P2101 and P1516.

Finally got the MAF honeycomb in from treadstone today, and installed it in the new airraid maf tube, this is a resin maf tube, giving it a try to see if my IAT's are consistently lower, plus i also needed one that was slightly longer to extend into the CAI box as my filter is having some trouble clamping on to the spectre one.

Some of you may be asking why the maf honeycomb since its common that people remove these thinking that it adds horsepower. The maf honeycomb increases air velocity significantly, and also helps increase maf sensor accuracy.

after the epoxy dries ill go ahead and install this tomorrow.

So you were seeing pretty high IATs lol? That damn aluminum housing gets hot as **** in the stock location.

I saw high IAT's before even with the stock plastic maf housing and silicone intake tube, honestly its just because of the bay getting really hot. One of the thing's ive noticed is the LS7 IAT does in fact react ALOT faster then the LS4. So the instant I blip the throttle, my IAT's will drop 20* and drop rapidly down to about 100*. I'm in the process of ordering various heat wraps now to try to improve insulation of the exhaust section under the intake tract. You think the MAF tube gets hot? Try touching the throttle body. I can't imagine that its good for the life of the throttle motor.

Lets hear about gains, even seat of pants feel. Oh and power steering pics too, want to see what was needed in the rear. Good job with your persistence.

Do you not have your crossover wrapped? My crossover has sandwhiched aluminum foil underneath dei titanium wrap. I can put my hsnd on the tb after a 30 minute drive and not burn myself. Also stop messing with the dumb box go fender well and enjoy ambient iats

My crossover is wrapped, but its still not enough layers to keep the heat inside. I'm not putting my intake in my fender, ive already been down that road before with other cars.

Ill getcha power steering pics as soon as I can, only thing I had to do was flip the wire harness to the other side of the PS feed line, and hammer the crossover pipe out a little bit as it hits the hose that goes up to the rad cap. Little tweaking with the hammer and something to use as a die works just fine. I will be putting the modified pump on still, same time I do my rack and pinion. That will give that hose a little extra breathing room.

I'm not talking some dumb 15foot long fwi setup. But something like pictured below is amazing for iats and getting lots of fresh air. While keepin rain and all that other shut out. I've driven through many a monsoon season just like this with no issue

How much did you have to enlarge that existing opening to get that big *** filter thru?
