where's our fuel filter? as the title says... where is our fuel filter located? I haven't looked under my car yet, as I just thought of this... but is it inline underneath where we can get to it, or is it in the gas tank?? |
Not sure about the SS twins, but the GXP has a "non-servicable" fuel filter. It's inside the gas tank or something. |
Yep, that is right about the GXP. I dont know about the rest of the ls4.... |
I checked my manual, under the maintenance/service sections, and there's no mention of a fuel filter anywhere.... Interesting... |
its in the tank |
thanks Paul... on a side note Paul.... does your CAI box move? I can hold the top of the lid (by the MAF end) and I can wiggle it by pushing back towards the engine. those 2 screws on the bottom ECM/TCM tray only go on one side, so the side near the fender lifts up, allowing the whole box to move/wiggle. |
Fed regs made all the manufacturers seal the tanks. No longer are parts serviceable, entire assemblys now. Now more than ever is it critical to run a quality fuel. |
