FS: Rear End, 3.42's, Auburn, 3k mi
The title pretty much sums it up. I bought it when I thought the Firehawk was having problems, and ended up not needing it (and since the car is sold now, there's no reason to keep it around). Removed the majority of the rust, and rust-oleumed it satin black.
It has an Auburn diff, and the previous owner said it had 3k mi when he took it off (to start building the car for the track, though I'm told this rear end saw a track only once) From the wear on the gears, I could definately believe the mileage claim. Also, it has the cast aluminum 'high performance' diff cover.
This unit came out of a 2000 Camaro SS. The unit IS a 4-channel meaning it's compatable with TCS equipped cars.
Asking $500.... but it's on a VERY OBO basis... so feel free to make offers. This price includes shipping to the nearest freight hub, or your business/workplace, supposing they support freight delivery (it'll need to have a forklift). It's currently bolted to a pallet, which is how it will be shipped, and how it arrived to me.
No decent pictures with the paint as of now, but it's nothing to write home about, just doesn't look like it's been sitting at the bottom of the bermuda triangle anymore. (P.S. the unit was sitting in a garage the whole time, but came from the coastal northeast, hence, the notable exterior rust. The interior looked great from what I saw, and like I said, it's been exterrior painted.)
The unit is located at my dad's hanger, in eastern Colorado, about a mile from I-70, and I'm in Fort Collins, Colorado.

I apologize for the terrible quality, all I had to take the picture at the time was my phone. But that shows that it is in fact painted satin-black rust-oleum, after being grey rust-oleum primed, after having the majority of the rust wire brushed off and then sprayed with 'rust converter'. It cleaned up really well for something as old as this was, (though as previously stated, that's all just age, the unit was only on a vehicle for 3k miles).
All in all:
:bump:

Apologies, I apparently haven't been getting email notifications as I should, and have been too busy to keep up with the thread.
RUQWIKR: Apologies for not getting back with you, but I have not been home since we talked, and my father has been busy farming/spraying (he's a crop duster). If you're still interested, I'll ask him to check it as soon as he has some spare time.
To the others interested, price is $500 shipped anywhere in the lower 48 states, willing to negotiate a bit.
Also, I'm not going to part the unit, it will go as-is. Sorry I can't help.

I'll be making time to regularly watch this thead now, as it seems that my notifications are not functioning.
