Well today wasn't that great... I only made two passes in the car. The first shakedown pass went 8.12 with a 1.89 60' on 22lbs of air in the hoosiers. I left easy, hooked, then spun.
The second pass I footbraked it to 1500-200rpm and gave it half throttle off the light and hammered it. It 1.71 60'd but then bumped the limiter hard on the 1-2 and went into limp mode. The only thing I did different from the first run was run it in drive vs. overdrive. I don't know if that caused it or what... I still have to chase that issue down.
If I had not went into limpmode it would have been about a 7.8 pass. This week I am going to get some SFC' and try and get PCMforless to work with me on the tune. So far bryan has been great so I doubt that will be an issue. Anyhow, here are a few shots of the car on the second pass.

car looks great, the times will improve once you get everything sorted out. You still running the TCI stall? I have the same one and get the best 60 ft by flashing the converter at just off of idle. either way, good runs.

Thanks! I do have the TCI converter but it has been rebuilt by a well known shop in Columbia, SC. He does most of the race cars in the area. Just by today's run I could tell it was more efficient up top. The car next to me was trapping 96mph!
I have a feeling the shifting issue is going to be a bitch to work out.

Yeah, they usually just send me another file and I load it myself. I just have to get tunercats working on this new laptop with vista. I hope I can get this thing fixed soon.

Lucky you! I down loaded the zip file and installed it. I then went into the cars file and changed it to comp. mode and it still wont run. It says it's missing some file. I want to throw this POS vista laptop through the wall. No wonder corporations still us XP based OS.

I e-mailed bryan just now so I should know something back from him tomorrow. I hope I don't have issues with this because I don't know my exact stall speed... it was custom made for my car and I threw the paper away but it's somewhere around 3800ish now. I guess I could always log my car with datamaster or free scan.

fixing stall wall with OBDI was hard for me to figure out but I eventually got a solid solution for it
stall wall is a problem that occurs when the tailshaft of the transmission flexs during a hard launch, on the tailshaft is the VSS or Vehicle Speed Sensor. when the tailshaft flexs the VSS loses signal for a split second which causes the pcm to put the transmission into limp mode. to fix this you simple have to have the 1-2 shift based only on RPM and set the 1-2 shift mph to 0mph

Thanks for the hint shon! That's exactly what the other shon(realslow94z) on Fastgm told me to check a while back. What table would that be under if you don't mind me asking?

I'm not a big fan of on this particular subject, considering how much stress it caused me in the past I'd like to help anyone I can with this issue because I know how much of a PITA it is and pretty much zero tuners outside pcmforless and madz know how to fix it
