The ect if reading neg on a scanner will dump fuel cause the computer thinks its minus 0degrees to help the motor run in extreme cold conditions. -44deg reading is normally what I see on bad ect in my exp. You will think its misfiring when really the spark is being drowned/fouled. Or the ect will read extreme heat and start cutting fuel, not something you want.
Either take it some place with a scanner( not a code puller) or replace sensor. It's been awhile but I think the sensor is under $25.

Thank you! I'm having so many different isues with this thing that I'm on the verge of parting it out! No the car wont start, first time since iv'e had it running it just wont start! It seems to have spark but only pushes 40lbs. of fuel presuse and the rails don't hold the presure. The water pump sensor makes sense to me because it did sit for 4years during the motor build. Once again thanks for your input!
