here is some more LS1 Rear brake info. switching from the LT1 rear brakes and e-brake setup to the LS1 rear brakes and e-brake setup adds ~12.2 pounds to the car, ~7.6 pounds of that is rotor weight. It is a lot nicer brake and e-brake setup though.

im wanting to do the C5 brake upgrade. what all is needed for that?
EDIT: i did a search and ws6store.com sells a complete C5 brake conversion kit from $700 to $900. Aparently you cant use your lt1 spindles. what do you guys think?

yeah you have to cut the old tabs off. my conversion kit mounts to the hub bearing bolts. try pricing it all out on your own first, going through parts stores you may save $$$ especially not paying shipping, though you do get hit with taxes. oh well i own a shop so i get discounted and all that goodness!!!

That is quite a bit of rotating weight. I wonder how much et is lost in the 1/4 mile?
