Exclamation Should i go LTs or Electric Cutout?

I have Hooker shorties in my Car & wanted to upgrade since i will be installing a big Cam soon.
Should i upgrade to LTs or should i just go with an Electric cut out since the HP difference is not that much.
please help me decide.
Thanx

Ditch the shorties and go LT's. Stock cam there's not that much of a difference but once you throw a cam in there the hp difference with shorties vs. LT's will be greater. Plus it'll sound much better

youll see a much better gain from LT's and a good catback then a cutout with shorties. a manual cut out is next to nothing. have one installed and then just save up for an electric cutout later

Exactly thats what I did on my set up. Out of the two I would take the LT's hands down.

Yeah definitely do long-tubes.. the difference between your long-tubes and the shortys if you add heads/cam into the equation is atleast 20rwhp

Stock you may see 5 or so with LT's over Shorties but once you start modifying your opening it up more to where you may see more like 15 to 20 with LT's over shorties.

Plus the sound is so much better with LT's.

More like there's not much of a difference between stock manifolds and shorties. There's a pretty big difference between shorties and LT's. I felt a huge difference, especially in topend, between my shorties with a manual cutout, and my LT's/true duals setup.

If a big cam is in the future, I definitely would not pass on a set of long tube headers.

Both.

If price is a problem, get the long tubes and a manual cut-out and add an electric opener in the future.
