Default cam swap

i was wondering wat was the best way to change cam leave motor in car or is it prety dificult rather than just pull motor and all i need to do ist change cam do to the dowel pin on the cam breaking off

How bad is the dowel broke off?
I wouldnt change the cam drill the dowel out and put a new one in.

It all depends, it is a lot easier to change the cam with the motor already out, but I don't think that it would be worth it to drop the motor just to do a cam swap. Now if you were doing cam, heads, all new gaskets, etc., then I would drop the motor.

I pulled the motor. All I did was springs, all new gaskets except the head gaskets, cam, EWP, new opti, LT's and it was a thousand times easier. And if you have access to a lift and you know your way around your car 2 guys can have the motor out and on a stand in like 4 hrs. Good luck.
