hmmmm interesting...... yeah i realize not everyone is on ls1tech..... i had heard camaroz28 was loaded with goons and idiots which is why i don't ever go there...
i'll check it out.... Yeah i figured it had to be something (chassis swap) cause you'd have to make an assload of power to run mid 8's in a 3400lb f-body... that's alot of power for the stock PCM. a chassis change to something lighter makes alot mroe sense....
mustang with an LT1.... interesting....

And yeah, LTx/LSx powered Mustang is a very popular conversion. I think the fox body's are what everyone is running, very light.

alright so this thread kind of faded so here's a bump and a question. with my budget for my build how should i go about the opti situation since you guys said its no good goin 9s. should i keep the stock opti for now get the msd cap and rotor? wat needs to be done to use a real distributor and how much does that cost? or would i be good usin the stock opti and saving to put coil packs on? after reading all this im kinda lost as to how i should go

Opti's can go 9s, you just cant run the ****** thing threw a lake then go make a pass.
A full dizzy/trigger switch is going to be some coin if your starting with a stock intake and PCM. From my knowledge I dont know anyone that has a dizzy/trigger on a stock pcm.
So....
Intake - $1200 ish
Elbow setup - $700 ish
PCM - $2100 ish
Trigger - $250 ish
Distributor - $400 ish

also any build updates?

No build updates. Once I get the turbo parts in from LT1Boost I'll start mocking up things on the stand, then get the engine/driveline back in the car. Before the driveline goes back in I'm going to wire in and install the FAST and swap out the stock master cylinder for an adjustable. Right now I'm finishing my basement, it's freaking cold in the garage, and funds are there for a ton of part purchases for the T/A since the Vette engine install isn't finished and the Celica is yet to be repaired (wreck, $4500 in body damage up front). Trans Am is #3 in the cue but it still being tinkered with.

yes, i have to pull a different amount of fuel out of each of the cylinders from back to front. #1 & 2 cylinders don't get touched and as i go rearward in vehicle i pull a little more fuel out of each pair of cylinders. hence my love for sequential! as well i can pull timing per cylinder1 no better way to make all 8 cylinders happy when spraying 300 through the motor.
and folks at CZ are great, imo! I have spent alot of time over there. especially the michigan folks, well except for a couple i can think of, lmmfao!!! apparently i have had some run ins with a particular gutless individual, so i hear. if i had a run in, well he'd know it.
back on track here.... sorry!
