Default Might race a Mach 1 soon...

I have seen this mach 1 in the parking lot of my work and always wanted to run into him on the street, and it just happens finally when I can't do anything because I'm running an Open Y and my car is louder than sin.

He said a couple mods I think some exhaust and intake/tune. (manual)

I think it would be interesting up until after the 1/4 where he'd probably put a quick few cars on me, but down low I'm pretty sure I'd have him covered!

Anyway, we had a rev off on the quick drive before we pulled into the gas station to talk.... I'm pretty sure we both agreed I won hands down.

It's a real nice Mach 1... If/when I can set up a race, I'll get it on video and post it.

With his mods vs mine would you say it'd turn out as I guessed?

Mine:
LPPs/ORY/cutout
Tune
3.42s
3200 stall

I'm going to the track tomorrow to get some times with the new headers. Hoping for 103+ traps.
I trapped 100 with current mods minus the LTs.

I really wish I had my exhaust welded up already.

Well of course I'm voting for you I raced one last summer and pulled him with pretty much the same mods you have. Good luck!

Yeah, but this guy's modded. I'm not sure but I think the manifolds are gone... can't remember exactly what he said. Might have only been catback, dunno.

If it's planned and where I want, it'll be dig. Absolutely.

Roll races are not for my car. I'm all low end with that stall.... that and roll races are for poopras and LSx.

Yeah it could very well be a different story if he's got some mods done. Either way stick from the dig and show him what a waste of 30+ Grand he just spent was

Well that makes me think that I was right on as you two were basically door to door.

I'll get him down low, but as soon as my car runs out of steam, he'll start pullin.

I'd say you'd get him by a couple cars. w'eve raced a few in a mostly stock 97 trans am (cutout, 4l60e with shift kit) it barely could pull away. It got us by maybe a car once we got up to around 90-95

I have a buddy with one. It is no slouch. He has 4.10's, 5speed, off road H-pipe, and spintech mufflers. At the time I had CAI, Cutout, and 3200 stall with stock 2.73's. We were dead even from a couple of rolls. Neither could hook from a stop so we just said forget it. It should be a good run. I'd like to run him again now that I have more mods, some weight reduction, and a tune. Get a vid when you do.

It should be a pretty good race. Both cars should be very capable of making a high 12 second pass with traction.

I can't even tell if those were cars, let alone who won.

(don't mean any disrespect, it's just funny)

Yeah the quality really sucks, my buddy took it at night with a cell phone. Mine was the one that went by first.

We ran it pretty close to the 1/4 mile mark. My speed was about 105mph when i shut it down.

Here's a vid of me against what I think is a mostly stock Mach a couple years ago. Later on that night I was busting out high 12's with almost full bolt-ons.

It's weird seeing them get beat so easily. They are supposed to be LOW 13 second cars...

Quick Reply: Might race a Mach 1 soon...
