on the street with a a4 on say a ltx or lsx is there any benefits from this over a 3.73 or not......what is trap speeds even at the track????they dont make a taller tire especially like a 28" anymore...so just wondering if anyone has this setup????!!!!!

m and h makes a 28" tire. its a DR though...

my setup is a 6 spd with 4.30 gears, i plan on running those m&h's, just because my 275/45/17's are a little too small on the street..

It can be done...it all depends on the RPM you want to be running.

I have run all of the following combinations
M6 4.10s and 275/40-17
M6 4.10s and 315/35-17 (120+ MPH)
M6 4.10s and 26x11.5-16 ET streets (120+ MPH)
A4 4.10s 275/40-17 (115 NA...ineffiecient convertor)
A4 3.42 275/40-17
A4 3.42 26x11.5-16 (117 NA)
A4 3.73 275/40-17
A4 3.73 28x11.5-15 ET Streets (119NA and 126 on 150 shot)
A4 3.73 27x10.5-15 ET Streets (122NA and 130 on 150 shot)
A4 3.73 28x10-15 Hoosier Drags (expecting 140 mph or so)

What kind of RPM are you wanting to run at highway speeds, trap speeds expected, and track tire size?

I have 4.10s and the 275/40 GY F1s were garbage on the street. DRs will help a ton and if you buy nittos they will still be good on the street and last awhile

Some traction issues on street, I love em
no track times, I will be running 26" MT

thats what i wonder is there anyone running them even at the track whats are you guys trapping at top end.....any1 even know what gear ur in at top end or even rpms in gear??

i run that in my 93 6 speed i just dont like it i seem to run out of gear to fast im going to either switch back to 373 or try a 390 but a taller tire would make it more enjoyable to drive on the street

It's just that most people with autos only go to a 3.73.
