I could probably get them for $150 I could Wire brush alot of that rust off and hit it with some high temp paint, would be alot cheaper then buying and brand new set, kind of on a budget. If im better off just getting a brand new set I guess ill start saving my pennies, what do you think??

It's a good chance that the high temp paint wouldn't last long enough (a few months). Unless you bought some of the pricey ceramic header paint. The stuff you get at the parts store just won't last. I suppose MAYBE if you painted on a coat or two and cured it well between each coat, but that's a LOT of work lol

For $150 definitely! Sand it down and paint it, you should be good.

Alright, Ill see what i can do! I figure they will still perform the same rusty or brand new, only advantage of brand new would be the new coating to lower underhood temps. Whats it cost to get headers ceramic coated again? Thanks for all the help guys!

x2

Those are excellent headers, for $150 they are a steal, even with the surface rust on them.

Honestly, I would pick those up and have them bead blasted and recoated. You would have practically new headers, and still not have a lot of money invested. The only thing that would concern me though is the flanges are kinda rusty as well. They usually don't rust up there, only down under the car.

They been sitting outside for a long time?

MoeHorsepower, im getting this set for $150 with 02's and extensions, Im not sure if they sat outside alot, I wouldnt think so cause that would mean the motor was sitting out. Whats it cost to have them recoated?

I believe it is around $150 to recoat them, if they are not rusted thru then for $300 you will have a new like looking set...Check the welds carefully and make sure you see no cracks..

As of now, isn't the release date undetermined? You really can't beat recoated hookers for ~$300.

Yeh I'd love to have some LPP's and I know you have to pay to play but I can basically get the same performance from these headers then the Lpps for around $300 cheaper if I dont recoat them. I do know where your coming from Achotrod but even though its winter, I just cant wait
