Default Can someone help identify this hose?

What is the metal flex hose that connects to the passenger side manifold? It looks as though it goes to the back of the intake manifold. I am removing the manifolds, so when my race style headers get here I can intall them. What do I do with this hose then? Is there a block off plate for it? And also, what is the best way to get this dang manifold out????? It is unbolted (what a pain), but just setting in there til tonight. Are my headers going to be that hard to install???

Thanks guys.

that's your EGR tube.
you will need EGR block off plates and have the EGR function deleted in your tune.
the manifolds will come out from the top,you have to disconnect the air tube from the manifold first before removal.

as far as header instal, well, some have it easy and some don't. you may take on a new vocabulary with a bunch of verbs, adverbs and adjectives..

Just put my tune on the yesterday(wow I am impressed and don't even have my exhaust done) and it is tuned out. So on the otherside of the intake manifold what is that (also on the back)?

Okay, thought it was EGR. So will I have to get a plate for it as well?

just unbolt that metal tube from the car and throw it away

here are the block off plates. since your getting race style headers you will only need to use the two on the left(in the picture.) the one on the right would bolt up to your header if you had the emission style headers
